Creative Commons Licenses: A Path to Open Science for Ukrainian Authors and Publishers

The KPI Library invites researchers from Igor Sikorsky KPI and anyone interested to join the international online event “Creative Commons Licenses: A Path to Open Science for Ukrainian Authors and Publishers,” organized in collaboration with Creative Commons experts.

Creative Commons is an international nonprofit organization that develops open licenses and tools enabling authors to legally share their works, scientific findings, and research data. Creative Commons licenses are used worldwide to support open science, education, and access to knowledge.

Key aspects:

  • Open science: the global context and the transition to transparent research models;
  • Open licensing: practical application of Creative Commons tools for the legal dissemination of results;
  • Research data management: the culture of handling scientific information and data;
  • Learning from international experience: familiarization with global practices in license usage;
  • Local adaptation: mechanisms for implementing open licenses at Ukrainian universities.

Speaker: Jennryn Wetzler, Director of Learning and Training at Creative Commons
