Online lecture — “The Art of Academic Writing: From Draft to Publication”

The KPI Library invites postgraduate students of Igor Sikorsky KPI and all interested young researchers to explore basic topics related to various aspects of research activities, from searching for sources to shaping the image of a scientist, together with our lecturers!

The first online lecture of the course is “The Art of Academic Writing: From Draft to Publication.” It aims to provide a systematic understanding of how a scientific article is created — from the idea to its publication in an international journal.

Key aspects of the lecture:

• The strategic role of academic writing.
• A systematic approach to creating a scientific article: the logic of article structure, scientific novelty, and the requirements of international publishers.
• Linguistic features of scientific texts in Ukrainian and English.
• The importance of ethical standards in the publication process, methods of avoiding plagiarism.
• Digital tools that help improve the quality of academic texts.
