You\u2019ll get to know the Library\u2019s past and present, its unique architectural ensemble, art installations, rare and valuable publications, and its facilities and services. You\u2019ll learn about the events, news, and projects that make up the Library\u2019s daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Tours are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO USE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Select a tour (sightseeing, themed, or professional) and book it using the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeWEXUyEU9acKo1AJYB4zs7R9aBeCokpIh94BEE8NUG01XvPQ\/viewform?usp=preview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online form<\/a>. We will contact you within two business days to confirm the date and time of the tour.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: Tours must be booked at least one week in advance of your desired date!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>GUIDED TOUR<\/h1>\n<p>The guided tour is the quickest way to explore the Library, during which you will learn about its history, architecture, and activities.<\/p>\n<p>Duration: 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The guided tour is free of charge and open to everyone.<\/p>\n<h1>THEMED TOUR<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cThe Library as an Art Object\u201d is an immersive journey through all the extraordinary spaces and corners of the Library, during which you will see the largest Foucault pendulum in Ukraine, original monumental decorative murals in the halls that are impressive in their scale, the country\u2019s first CLUST SPACE smart ceiling, the most photogenic staircase under a glass roof, and the cozy Japanese rock garden&#8230; You\u2019ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the Library and see a place where you can easily get lost among 2 million books.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTreasures of the KPI Library Collection\u201d is an introduction to the Library\u2019s literary highlights\u2014the rarest and most valuable editions, lithographed works, and incunabula\u2026 You will meet Mr. Burgave, the author of the oldest edition preserved in the Library. You\u2019ll hold a book the size of a matchbox in your hands. You\u2019ll see unique masterpieces of the art of printing with exquisite decoration and works typical of bygone eras, made of leather, fabric, paper, and calico. And, of course, you\u2019ll stroll through the Library\u2019s atmospheric halls\/<\/li>\n<li>\u201cKyiv Polytechnic: History, Documents, Facts\u201d is a journey into the past of one of the country\u2019s largest universities through historical documents and photographs, a recreated \u201cKyiv Polytechnic professor\u2019s office,\u201d and memorial libraries of university professors.
