{"id":768,"date":"2019-03-08T16:05:50","date_gmt":"2019-03-08T14:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/study.library.kpi.ua\/www.library.kpi.ua\/?p=768"},"modified":"2026-03-19T10:53:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T08:53:12","slug":"vydacha-ta-povernennya-dokumentiv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.library.kpi.ua\/en\/vydacha-ta-povernennya-dokumentiv\/","title":{"rendered":"Take\/return the book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All registered users can get books and other documents from the Library&#8217;s fund for reading.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">books can only be taken home by Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute employees and students; all other users may only use editions in reading rooms;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the service is free.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong id=\"3\"><b><a id=\"how_to_use\"><\/a>HOW TO USE<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To take books home or work with them in the reading room:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/discovery.kpi.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">catalogue account<\/a> and order the publications you need. The order is completed within 1 hour;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pick up the order at the selected point. You must have a student or reader card with you.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also get books from the collection of the Library by &#8220;\u041d\u043e\u0432\u0430 \u043f\u043e\u0448\u0442\u0430&#8221; or &#8220;\u0423\u043a\u0440\u043f\u043e\u0448\u0442\u0430&#8221;:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">log into your<a href=\"https:\/\/discovery.kpi.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> catalog account<\/a> and order the books you need. To order books to your account, we will change your password to a standard one (your date of birth is dd\/mm\/yy). After receiving a book, you can change the password;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScBMlrQLBXPjDkKkfQ-HcfvGrOjF64kAY_ut4K0M_H38JXY0A\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online form<\/a>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pick up the order by mail and send confirmation of receipt of books to the address <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subject@library.kpi.ua<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. *<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can return books to the Library in a convenient way for you:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at the Circulation Desk (2nd floor);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through the Book return box (1st floor);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By &#8220;\u041d\u043e\u0432\u0430 \u043f\u043e\u0448\u0442\u0430&#8221; to the address: Kyiv, post office No. 70, Peremogy Ave., 20. Also, indicate &#8220;\u041a\u043d\u0438\u0433\u0430 \u043f\u043e\u0448\u0442\u043e\u044e&#8221; on the parcel.*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong id=\"3\"><b><a id=\"use_only_in_reading_room\"><\/a>USE ONLY IN READING ROOMS<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patents, dissertations, reports on research work, standards, regulatory and technical documentation, publications from reading room funds, rare and valuable documents, and books from other libraries (ordered through interlibrary loan).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"3\"><b><a id=\"damage_to_documents\"><\/a>DEBT, LOSS, OR DAMAGE TO DOCUMENTS<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of arrears, the user&#8217;s account is blocked until the outstanding books are fully returned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of lost or damaged books, you can replace them with the same edition. The lost books may be replaced with similar or educationally appropriate texts if identical editions cannot be replaced.
