Sanitary day

February 28 is a sanitary day in the KPI Library.

On this day, the Bookstore, reading rooms and educational space CLUST SPACE will not serve users.

The halls of the Library are available for independent work.

And, of course, in case of air raid, the CLUST SPACE educational space works as a shelter around the clock.

Electronic resources for Ukrainian scientists

We remind you of reputable international publishers and platforms, access to which
Ukrainian scientists can set up access to remotely using authorization data:

ScienceDirect – more than 4600 journals and more than 33000 e-books, reference books,
scientific collections from various fields of knowledge published by Elsevier.
Access setup: by instructions.

EBSCO Health – clinical information resources of the international company EBSCO:
– DynaMed – the most up-to-date and accurate evidence-based information for clinicians;
– EBSCOhost Databases and eBooks – open access databases and e-books of EBSCO
on the EBSCOhost platform. Access settings: login by User ID: ukrzdorovya; Password: ukr!22

Elsevier Health – covers a wide range of medical disciplines, provides free
access to such medical resources in Ukraine:
– ClinicalKey – a comprehensive resource of clinical knowledge;
– Complete Anatomy – 3D anatomy platform;
– Osmosis – medical educational video content.

MatNavi is a Japanese metallographic database of the National Institute of
of Materials Science (NIMS): basic material properties, engineering, table of
structural properties of NIMS materials, modeling tools.
Access settings: you need to register in the DICE system,
be sure to indicate the corporate e-mail @*kpi.ua; after registering and
and authorized – send an application for the use of MatNavi.

Vacancy for a research data management consultant

The KPI Library is looking for a Research Data Management Consultant to join the Department of Information Support for Education and Research. Previous experience in this field is not required – what matters to us is your desire and ability to learn new things, attentiveness, constructive approach and analytical thinking. Research data management is a fairly new area of library work in Ukraine, and it is currently actively developing. If you want to be among the first – welcome to us (and yes, we will teach you everything! :))

What to do:

• Ensure effective management of research data;
• maintain communication with researchers on various aspects of research data management;
• Provide educational and advisory services on research data management on the organization, storage, processing and exchange of data;
• monitor and analyze digital tools for research data management;
  support long-term data storage.

The Library offers:

Our candidate

• has a specialized university degree, knows how to search for information using various information retrieval systems, analyze, evaluate, select, process and transmit the necessary information, has skills in working with large Microsoft Excel files and English at a level sufficient to work with English-language documentation and English-language databases.
• An ability to learn quickly, digital literacy, business communication skills, sociability, and discipline will be an advantage.
