Free publications for Ukrainian researchers
We remind you that leading international academic publishers continue to support Ukrainian authors during the war. As part of their special programs, most leading academic publishers have temporarily increased the discount on Article Processing Charges (APC) up to 100%. Thanks to this initiative, Ukrainian researchers receive additional support to continue their scientific activities in times of war.
Ukrainian authors can use the full exemption from APC payment, in particular, in the journals of the following publishers: Springer Nature, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, American Chemical Society (ACS), Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
To take advantage of this opportunity, when submitting an article to an open access journal of these publishers, you must correctly indicate your affiliation with a Ukrainian institution and select Ukraine as the country of authorship in your profile. In most cases, the discount is applied automatically at the stage of payment approval. If this does not happen, it is recommended that you contact the publisher’s support service to confirm your eligibility for the discount.
We emphasize that the full APC waiver usually applies only to articles published in Gold Open Access journals. Please read the terms and conditions of the selected journal carefully before submitting your manuscript.
Please avoid submitting to dubious or dishonest journals. If you have any doubts about the reputation of the journal or the terms of publication, we recommend that you seek advice from our university library.
Take this opportunity to make the results of your work available to a wide international audience. Supporting open access helps to increase the visibility of Ukrainian science in the world, which is of particular importance in today’s realities.
Useful information on selecting a journal to publish your research results and how to format an article can be found on the library’s special page.
