Foundation of the Library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The first premises of the Library are a room in the Commercial School. The first librarian is archaeologist, ethnographer, future academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Bilyashivsky.

The general library, which contained scientific and technical literature and periodicals, was called the Fundamental Library. The Library also included a library of textbooks. |

Growth and expansion of the Library: creation of departments of technical documentation, socio-economic literature, bibliography, acquisition and processing of literature; allocated student subscriptions and reading rooms. |
The Library’s work was stopped due to the Nazi occupation of Kyiv. |

Opening of a branch of the Library in the Chemistry Building of KPI. |

The KPI library received the status of a scientific and technical library. |
Opening of the new Library building on Knowledge Square. |

Creation of an electronic catalog of the KPI Library. |

The library is named after Hryhoriy Ivanovich Denysenko – the rector of KPI in 1971 – 1987. |
Beginning of the creation of the ELAKPI e-archive. |
