KPI Library offers different services and resources, but to use them, you need to register in our user base.
Ask the librarian
Have a question? Contact with librarians at the Help Desk in a convenient way.
We will answer all your questions regarding the Library’s activities, services, and information resources, and we will forward more complex requests to our specialized departments.
Get advice on resources
Do you have questions about the Library’s electronic or printed resources? You can communicate with subject librarians conveniently.
We will explain the possibilities of an e-catalogue, an e-archive, and a database, as well as the unique, rare and valuable collections. We will help you understand how to use e-resources, find the necessary information, order publications, etc.
Organize the event
Do you want to organize the cultural event with an aim to develop knowledge and skills of modern human? We will be glad to help you organize such event in the KPI Library. Main requirements are quality content and free entrance.
Book a room for a meeting/event

Order an electronic copy of a part of the book/article
Students and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute can receive a digital copy of an article, fragment or chapter of a book from the Library’s fund, other libraries (in particular from the electronic collection), prepaid license databases and information platforms of Springer Nature publishing houses (e-books for 2017 and scientific articles for the last years) and ScienceDirect (2019-2020 monographs).
Take/return the book
All registered users can get books and other documents from the Library’s fund for reading.

Студенти та працівники КПІ ім. Ігоря Сікорського можуть отримати книги з фонду Бібліотеки «Новою поштою» чи «Укрпоштою».
Order the book from other library
Only students and staff of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute can order delivery of publications from the collections of other Ukrainian if the documents are absent in our electronic catalogue. Within the interlibrary loan, other libraries of Ukraine can also order the delivery of publications from the Library collection for their clients.
Request training for research
You can contact our Center for Information Support of Education and Research in any manner that is convenient for you if you are interested in learning how to effectively use digital tools for research activities, participating in open educational events for researchers, and initiating their implementation
Get research consultation
In our Information Support Center for Education and Research, all registered users can receive individual consultation for their research on a particular topic or order an online event for a group of researchers.
Determine UDC index and author’s mark
Students and employees of KPI can order from us the determination of the index according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) and the author’s mark for article, bachelor’s or master’s thesis, dissertation abstract, dissertation.
Recommend a book for purchase
If the Library does not have a publication you are interested in, please suggest us to purchase it. All students and employees of KPI can participate in fund complication.
Connect to the Internet/WiFi
You can access the Internet in the Library from stationary computers in the reading rooms and via Wi-Fi in the reading rooms and halls.

Sign the bypass list
Students and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute can sign a bypass list at the Help Desk (1st floor) during the Library’s working hours.
Order a list of references for accreditation of the educational program
KPI faculties and departments can receive information about our resource provision of disciplines for accreditation/licensing of higher educational institutions on request from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Preparation of resources by topic

Get remote access to information resources
Students and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute can remotely use the “local” materials of ELAKPI, the resources of the Research4Life platform, and the abstract database Scopus. Also, scientific and educational resources of open access available to everyone.
Create a list of references for your work
Library users can order us to prepare a list of references for their research work (term paper, qualification paper, article, conference abstracts, manual, etc.). Order list of references for the syllabus
Professors of KPI can use our assistance in selecting educational materials and resources that can supplement the list of main and additional information references of the academic discipline’s work program (syllabus).
