The KPI Library offers a series of tours for everyone! You’ll get to know the Library’s past and present, its unique architectural ensemble, art installations, rare and valuable publications, and its facilities and services. You’ll learn about the events, news, and projects that make up the Library’s daily life.
Tours are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
HOW TO USE

Select a tour (sightseeing, themed, or professional) and book it using the online form. We will contact you within two business days to confirm the date and time of the tour.
Please note: Tours must be booked at least one week in advance of your desired date!
GUIDED TOUR
The guided tour is the quickest way to explore the Library, during which you will learn about its history, architecture, and activities.
Duration: 30 minutes.
The guided tour is free of charge and open to everyone.
THEMED TOUR
- “The Library as an Art Object” is an immersive journey through all the extraordinary spaces and corners of the Library, during which you will see the largest Foucault pendulum in Ukraine, original monumental decorative murals in the halls that are impressive in their scale, the country’s first CLUST SPACE smart ceiling, the most photogenic staircase under a glass roof, and the cozy Japanese rock garden… You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the Library and see a place where you can easily get lost among 2 million books.
- “Treasures of the KPI Library Collection” is an introduction to the Library’s literary highlights—the rarest and most valuable editions, lithographed works, and incunabula… You will meet Mr. Burgave, the author of the oldest edition preserved in the Library. You’ll hold a book the size of a matchbox in your hands. You’ll see unique masterpieces of the art of printing with exquisite decoration and works typical of bygone eras, made of leather, fabric, paper, and calico. And, of course, you’ll stroll through the Library’s atmospheric halls/
- “Kyiv Polytechnic: History, Documents, Facts” is a journey into the past of one of the country’s largest universities through historical documents and photographs, a recreated “Kyiv Polytechnic professor’s office,” and memorial libraries of university professors. You’ll experience the KPI atmosphere as you stroll through the most distinctive corners of the Library.
Tour duration: 1 hour.
Cost of the themed tour:
The tour is free for students and staff of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
For all other participants, the cost of the tour is 1,100 UAH (recommended group size: 1–20 people).
