Presentation of Dmytro Nazarenko’s book “Kyiv Doctors”

We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of Dmytro Nazarenko’s book Kyiv Doctors!

On the pages of this publication, bright figures of physicians of different specialties and different destinies who lived, studied, worked, and taught in Kyiv at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries come to life. The heroes of the essays collected in the book Kyiv Physicians are Volodymyr Betz, Yevhen Afanasiev, Karl Tritschel, Oleksandr Yatsenko, Teofil Yanovsky, and… the medical Kyiv of that era, which was actively developing thanks to the foundation of the Medical Faculty of St. Volodymyr’s University and the opening of the Anatomical Theater.

The author of the book is Dmytro Nazarenko, a senior researcher at the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine’s collections department, a dermatologist.
