ORCID: new benefits and opportunities
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is an open, non-profit project for creating and maintaining a registry of unique researcher identifiers. ORCID is a 16-digit numeric code in which the letters of the researcher’s name are replaced by numbers, which immediately solves a number of problems: unifies pronunciation and translation in other languages, automates the identification of the author and his connection with published works.
More about ORCID opportunities was discussed at the webinar «ORCID Consortium: Advantages and Opportunities» organized by the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine.
A step-by-step guide from the KPI Library will help you create an ORCID.
Every researcher should update the data on his / her professional research and scientific-technical activity in order for the information about him / her to be reliable in the digital space both at the national and world levels.
