Searching for Information

Using Catalog+, you can search all of the Library’s information resources simultaneously (print publications, ELAKPI, etc.), check the availability and location of specific materials, reserve items to your account, and renew their loan period.

Reading Rooms

4.2 — Periodicals Room, where journals and newspapers from the last 5 years of publication are available;
6.2 — Social, Economic, and Fiction Literature Room: from primary sources in philosophy to comic books;
6.3 — technical literature room, featuring scientific literature from all technical fields, as well as essential textbooks and teaching guides;
6.6 — room for dissertations, abstracts, and technical standards, where you can access all printed dissertations by University scholars, standards, and patents;
CLUST SPACE — the educational space features the most popular fiction and nonfiction publications.

INTERNATIONAL DATABASES AND PUBLISHERS

Most resources are freely accessible on the University’s local network. To access them from home (remotely), use the “Get Remote Access to Resources” service.

Full-text databases and publishers

Research4Life — a platform that brings together resources from Oxford, Cambridge, IOPscience, and others (over 147,000 sources). Get login/password;
ACM Digital Library — scientific information on computer science. You must register on the University’s local network;
ASTM Compass — regulatory materials, standards, technical publications, and other sources of engineering and technical information. Access is provided only on the University’s local network (view-only mode);
Springer eBooks — a collection of e-books. You can download them from Catalog+ or request a digital copy of part of a document to be sent to your email.

Scientometric Databases and Analytics

Scopus is a multidisciplinary bibliographic and abstract database and a tool for tracking citations of articles published in scientific journals. Request remote access;
Web of Science — a multidisciplinary bibliographic and abstract platform hosting databases of scientific literature and patents. You must register on the University’s local network (video tutorial);
SciVal — an analytical tool for evaluating the results of scientific activity. Request remote access.

Virtual Collections

You can search for the information you need in the individual collections of our electronic catalog, which group materials by specific criteria, making them easier to use.

New Arrivals

You can view new arrivals (resources that have been added to the Library or published in ELAKPI, the digital library, within the last 30 days) on the page of the same name in Catalog+. To do this, select the time range (new arrivals by day / by five days / by 30 days) and the source in which to search (catalog / digital library / ELAKPI).
