Changes in schedule during lockdown

From the 13th April Library will work in limited time on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 till 16:00. Changes in schedule will be relevant during lockdown.

You can:

• Return documents and sign exit checklist by asking Librarians of the Information desk (library 1st floor);
• Pass dissertation and dissertation abstracts in electronic and paper form (library 4th floor, room 4.4).

Access to SciVal

Through April 2021 all the employees of Igor Sikorsky KPI can receive remote trial access to SciVal (Elsevier) – an online platform for analysis of data included into Scopus database, which allows visualizing achievements of scientific institutions, compare them with other institutions, evaluate potential colleagues and partners, and also to analyze trends in the world science.

Everyone who has remote access to Scopus automatically receives access to SciVal (login/password are the same).

Access to SAGE Publishing

Igor Sikorsky KPI has received trial access to the electronic collection of academic publications of the leading international publisher SAGE Publishing. We received access to more than 1100
titles of full-text and abstract peer-reviewed journals in the field of humanitarian, social, nature
sciences, technologies and medicine.

Access is provided in the University network and will last through April 2021 by the link.

Students and employees of Igor Sikorsky KPI can also use the service of electronic documents
delivery, and receive by e-mail full text of any article from the journal in the list. To receive full
text, please fill the online form.

Transition to remote service

Due to the quarantine and to prevent the spreading of coronavirus Library transits to
providing remote services from the 5th of March 2021.

From Monday till Friday, 9:00-17:30 you can receive information and consultations.

Discussion of new Strategy of Library Development

In April Library plans public discussion of new Development Strategy. Strategy is a practice oriented document, aimed to make everyone of you, who visits library offline or online, receive what you came for. To make each KPI society member proud of his or her Library. To make the Library a comfortable, inclusive space with modern ventilation and a redesign project. So that the Library generated quality content for non-formal education and lifelong learning, and its information resources were really up-to-date. The library wants to hear everyone, especially the KPI community, which is its reliable partner in the development of educational and scientific environment.
