How to find quality educational and scientific information for your research
Finding and processing information is an important stage without which no scientific research is possible. And if you have questions or difficulties during this process, that’s not a problem.
Postgraduate students at KPI and everyone interested are invited to attend the webinar «How to find quality educational and scientific information for your research».
During the event, we will find answers to common questions together:
- what requirements should educational and scientific information meet?
- how to find the right source on a large number of sites and web pages?
- how should a search query be formed correctly?
- how to save search results?
The webinar is conducted by Olena Kosmina, the chief librarian of the Department of Information Support for Education and Research.

Integrity: values in daily actions” Open Dialogue on Academic Integrity: «Integrity: Values in Everyday Actions»
Since 2020, the topic of academic integrity began to be rapidly covered in the information space of KPI. A series of comics, which you can view using the hashtag #Комікс, an open dialogue, and a round table, were devoted to this topic.
Today, Ukraine is fighting for its future – independent, free, and European. This is our inalienable right, but also our responsibility to ourselves and the entire community. Today, we defend our achievements and hopes, our principles and values every day. Academic integrity certainly belongs to such values.
On the International Day of Academic Integrity, we will talk about how it manifests itself and works in the daily life of the KPI community. The Department of Organization of the Educational Process, the Department of Educational Work, and the KPI Library invite the entire university community to join the open discussion «Integrity: values in daily actions»
Webinar series from Elsevier
Elsevier is starting an autumn series of webinars in Ukrainian.
The first event «Functional capabilities of the Scopus database – how to use its potential» will consider what an abstract database is and what can be found in it, how to effectively use its potential, how to search for the necessary scientific literature and what can be learned about a researcher or institution in Scopus.
Lecturer: Lyudmila Trotsenko, ambassador of Research Intelligence Elsevier, leading editor, head of the Scientific Publications Support Sector of KPI named after Ihor Sikorsky of the Department of Information Support for Education and Research of the KPI Library.

Bad news, problems, losses, worries – twist us into a spring that does not allow us to live. In order to overcome it, the necessary internal forces must be developed. And books are a great anti-stress. Let’s do it together!

Bibliotalk «Library Unbreakable»
On September 30, we traditionally celebrate the All-Ukrainian Library Day.
This day has always been a great opportunity to look back on the past year, take stock and continue to dream and plan for the future.
2022 is not like previous years. A full-scale military invasion changed our lives and our plans. But we did not break down and continued to work – because we believe that everyone today is bringing victory closer where they can.
And on this Day of Libraries, we will tell you how the KPI Library lived after February 24.

Discussion: «Synergy of orientations: what to do with libraries after the war?»
On the All-Ukrainian Library Day, the KPI Library invites Good library! @Luhansk OUN_B #traveling_library
We meet in the hall of our library for a live discussion:
- how do librarians talk about the war now and how to talk about it later?
- do library users themselves see this conversation about war? What formats, approaches are more suitable?
- accelerated transformations in libraries as a reaction to a full-scale invasion: what was saved and what was forever abandoned?
- occupation from the inside: how can the experience of the occupation be used to one’s advantage?
- what challenges and crises will librarians have to face after the war and what way out of the traumatic situation is there already?
Among the speakers of the discussion:
Levon Azizyan – human rights defender, animal rights activist, Wikipedian, local historian, organizer of cultural and environmental events in Severodonetsk;
Oksana Bruy – president of the Ukrainian Library Association, director of the KPI Library;
Arif Bagirov is a blogger, journalist and local historian from Severodonetsk.
Vladyslav Fesenko – blogger from Starobilsk;
Yulia Bilovytska – librarian of the Severodonetsk City Public Library;

Six months ago, in February 2022, the life of our entire country changed radically due to the full-scale military invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine.

Myroslav Skoryk – music that speaks louder than words: a lecture of the MuzKlas project
Almost every Ukrainian knows the melody from the movie «High Pass».
Its author is Myroslav Skoryk, an outstanding composer, founder of Ukrainian pop song, laureate of numerous prizes and awards, artistic director of Kyiv Opera, author of more than 300 works and a person of unique destiny.

Feast of the King of Horrors
Stephen King turns 75 on September 21!
Most people on Earth know the «King of Horrors», the «Horrible Monster». His books are read without being able to put them down. Films are watched, frozen in horror. But if there is such a person who has not read or seen a single film, he still knows this surname.
We invite you to celebrate the writer’s anniversary together. In the program:
- mini-lecture about the author;
- familiarization with his works;
- viewing fragments of the film «Cat’s Eye»;
