RapidILL international interlibrary loan service

We remind you that Igor Sikorsky KPI has access to the RapidILL interlibrary subscription service. RapidILL is a dynamic resource sharing system that allows you to quickly and easily order and receive materials in electronic form from over 500 libraries in Europe and the United States. The international interlibrary loan service through Ukrainian higher education libraries is provided by Clarivate.

To order the articles or book chapters you need from foreign libraries, please fill out the application form.

You will first receive a letter confirming that your request is being processed. You will receive a digital copy to your email within 3 working days of the Library. Important: Electronic copies of documents may only be used for scientific and educational purposes! Advice on using the RapidILL service can be obtained by emailing edd@library.kpi.ua.

New full-text databases

New full-text databases are available free of charge to KPI students thanks to cooperation with the EIFL-Ukraine Consortium (national coordinator – State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine – SSTL of Ukraine).

Mathematical Sciences Publishers (MSP) Journals – a collection of 20 peer-reviewed journals in mathematics, mechanics, engineering, and related sciences.

Resources from Edward Elgar Publishing – one of the largest independent publishers of academic journals and books in the fields of law, business, and social sciences.

Open collections:

Development Studies & Environment e-books – more than 1,800 monographs, reference books, and encyclopedias on development (finance, economics, innovation, infrastructure, politics, migration, etc.) and ecology (energy policy, transport, corporate responsibility, law).

Elgar Advanced Introductions: Law – 84 textbooks covering key areas of international, comparative, public, and private law.

Journals – full access to 19 journals published by the company.

We remind you that thanks to the EIFL initiative, Igor Sikorsky KPI already has access to:

• the ACM Digital Library,
• standards and technical information on the ASTM Compass platform,
• Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press journal collections,
• IOPscience journals from the Institute of Physics Publishing.

Access to these databases is available from all local IP addresses of the university.

International scientific information resources for KPI students: Research4Life

Electronic resources are an integral part of researchers’ work, as they provide quick and convenient access to verified scientific sources. Igor Sikorsky KPI has access to a number of international databases that support learning and research. Today we will talk about the Research4Life platform.

Research4Life brings together scientific, technical, natural science, medical, and socio-political literature from the world’s leading publishers. Ukrainian universities have access to over 18,500 journals, 129,000 books, and a number of databases.

Remote access is available with a login and password, which can be obtained upon request.

Also available through Research4Life:

• Cambridge University Press – over 420 peer-reviewed journals in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences;
• IOPscience – publications from over 100 journals in the fields of physics, engineering, medicine, and related sciences;
• Oxford University Press – over 500 academic journals in various scientific fields from the world’s largest university press.
