KPI Library is the Library of the Year 2024!

The traditional reporting and election conference of the Ukrainian Library Association has started today. It is always cool and warm to meet with colleagues from other libraries, from different parts of Ukraine. We enjoy such valuable live communication.

Traditionally, during the conference, the winners of the All-Ukrainian competition “Library of the Year 2024” are awarded. This year, our Library became the winner of the competition for the project “Modern Educational Safe Space CLUST Space”. We thank the library community for this high honor! And we thank our friends, partners and colleagues, KPI students – everyone who made our educational safe space a reality!

Give a book to the front

The KPI Library joins the initiative to collect books for military personnel called “Books for the Front”.

During the existence of this important project, soldiers in the combat zone, as well as those who are being treated in hospitals or undergoing rehabilitation in the relevant centers, have already received more than 28 thousand different books from book lovers.

We invite everyone who cares to join this initiative! The Book for the Front project accepts both new books and used books in good condition from home libraries. These can be fiction of various genres, books on psychology, self-development, military affairs, popular science, poetry, comics and manga.

IMPORTANT: books in Russian, as well as scientific and educational literature (scientific monographs, textbooks, manuals, etc.) are not accepted as book gifts for our defenders.

You can leave books for our defenders at the Information Desk (1st floor) during the Library’s working hours. The collection of books lasts until December 6.

KPI Library is the winner of the contest “Library of the Year 2024″

Friends, we have great news – the KPI Library has won the All-Ukrainian competition “Library of the Year 2024”!

We received this honorary title for the project “Modern Educational Safe Space CLUST Space”. We are grateful to the Ukrainian Library Association and our entire library community for their inspiration and support. We thank the KPI community for their support and joint hard work, which brings excellent results. We thank CLUST for choosing us. Together we have made history! Thank you and let’s continue!

The library of our dreams

More than a century ago, the world-famous aircraft designer Igor Sikorsky – then just a student at Kyiv Polytechnic – designed his first helicopter. This was the beginning of the realization of his dream – and the dream of Leonardo Da Vinci himself, who designed his propeller at the end of the 15th century.

And at the beginning of this school year, we also launched our own propellers. We wrote down our dreams on them and let them go so that they could find solid ground and with it the power to come true.

One of the most common dreams of KPI students is the victory of Ukraine, but do you know what amazed us? The number of ways we can say this. Dozens of beautiful dreams, each of which is another brick in our big common dream. And it’s so heartbreaking and so beautiful!
