To the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine, Department for Students Affairs together with the KPI Library invite everyone to an incredibly interesting lecture about:
- history of heraldry;
- symbols of the Armed Forces;
- coats of arms and emblems;
- elements of heraldry, emblems, ensigns;
- symbols of territorial defense and “folk creativity” – motivational sleeve emblems and other symbols;
- comparison with the symbols of the enemy;
- and many more interesting things!

Life of Lviv through the eyes of an environmental activist: a lecture by Diana Popfalushi
Do you remember our meeting with Diana Popfalushi, an environmental activist and host of the «Пояснизаеко» podcast?
Now we have invited her to tell how Lviv lived when thousands of Ukrainians went abroad at the beginning of the war. General issues of the Internet of Things and the economics of outcome
If you are interested in new trends in information technology and you want to delve into the implementation of the Internet of Things and the specifics of regulation by law.

Stories about the life of old books
The topic of this meeting will be «The first scientific and technical groups of KPI: the history of their origin and their work.»
Scientific and technical groups, where science had its further development, played a significant role in the training of highly qualified KPI specialists. Here technical thinking was formed and the acquired knowledge was embodied. Research was supported by books from specialized libraries. Confirmation of the existence of libraries in scientific and technical groups can be examined from the seals on the publications in the fund of the Department of Rare and Valuable Documents of the KPI Library.
Who was the initiator of the creation of groups that studied, which books were read, the excursion program, well-known scientists-group members – we will talk about this in the lecture.

Familiar Stranger – Web of Science Core Collection
KPI Library invites scientists of Kyiv Polytechnic and all interested scientists to visit the webinar «Familiar Stranger – Web of Science Core Collection», which will take place on May 26 at 16:00 on the Zoom platform.
Together with Clarivate Analytics training and analytical resources expert Irina Tikhonkova, we will consider the following issues:
• capabilities and properties of the Web of Science Core Collection for scientific work;
• new functionality that appeared with the platform updates;
• algorithm for searching literature on your research topic;
• search and selection of a journal for publication of research results;
• search for partners for common implementation of projects;
• grant opportunities;
• saving the received data on the platform;
• difficulties faced by the authors in presenting their own research and ways to avoid it.
