Journals’ rankings

Information about journals is important for making decisions about publishing the results of your own researches. We suggest you platforms and the list of all indexes that can help to find journals to study research results and to publish your results. Scientometric indexes that help to evaluate journal

Jornal impact factor – correlation of average citation number of the journal’s articles during the current year to the general number of articles, published in this journal during the two preceding years.

CiteScore – average citation number, received during the year by all the articles, published in that journal for the last three years.

SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) – complex index that includes the citation of journal’s articles and the authority of the journals which cite it as well as the thematic connections between the publications.

Quartile – category of the scientific journals that reflects the level of journal’s citation. According to the results of ranking each journal is sent to one of the four quartiles: Q1 – 25% of journals with the highest citation indexes; Q2 – middle to highest citation level (from 50 % to 25 % with the highest citation indexes); Q3 – middle to lowest citation level (from 75% to the first of 50 %); Q4 – the lowest in the index (lower 25%).

SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) – contextual index in which the probability of citation certain subject area is taken into consideration: general potential of being cited is divided by the potential of being cited in its scientific subject area.

Scimago Journal & Country Rank Journals’ ranking that combines a complex of bibliometric indicators based on informational resources of SciVerse Scopus database of Elsevier corporation. Allows to evaluate the effectiveness of scientific journal activity.
