Consultant of the informational education and research support

KPI Library is looking for the consultant of the informational education and research support.

What you will do:

  • monitor Internet resources to identify databases of scientific and educational resources (commercial and open access) and organize trial of the commercial educational and scientific resources; 
  • consult students and researchers of the university (via e-mail, telephone, Zoom service) on various issues related to the search for educational and scientific information; 
  • organize and conduct educational activities for students and researchers in information and digital literacy.

Our candidate:

has a professional higher education, is able to search information using various information search systems, analyze, evaluate, select, process and pass the necessary information, has skills in working with large Microsoft Excel files and English at a level sufficient to work with English documentation and English databases.

Digital literacy, business communication skills, correspondence, knowledge of the basics of scientometrics, sociability, discipline, critical thinking and the ability to learn and teach others quickly will also be an advantage.

System administrator assistant

KPI Library is looking for a system administrator assistant.

Main responsibilities: 

  • assistance in setting up and administering servers and server operating systems; 
  • installation and configuration of network devices; 
  • technical support for users; 
  • installation and configuration of Windows operating systems and required applications; 
  • diagnosis of problems with hardware and software and their elimination; 
  • maintenance and configuration of peripherals; 
  • website support.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • higher education in the relevant field (master, specialist); 
  • experience in administering servers running Windows Server; 
  • experience using Linux (CentOS); 
  • understanding the principles of computer networks, knowledge of basic network protocols; 
  • knowledge of PC hardware; 
  • experience in installing a local network; 
  • knowledge in related fields (virtualization, server equipment); 
  • WEB programming skills; 
  • website administration skills; 
  • basic knowledge and understanding of current trends in web development will be an advantage.

Desired personal qualities:

  • ability to solve problems independently, a high degree of responsibility; 
  • ability to learn quickly; 
  • ability to work in a team.
